Privacy Policy

At The Blond Travels, I am trying to be very frugal about the amount of personal data I am saving, or processing. However, in order to run my business, there are some cases where I need to do it – either for legal reasons, or for being able to offer you my products and services.

On this page I will explain to you in plain language what information I am saving, when it happens, who I am sharing it with, and for how long I am saving it.

Online Shop

When you buy a product/service through my online shop, I will save your name, email address, and purchase history on my server. For security reasons, I am not saving any of your payment information (such as credit card number, or CCV) on my own servers. All payment information is securely processed by Stripe and — depending on your choice — Przelewy24.

To send you updates about the products you’ve purchased I am also transferring your order history to the email marketing automation platform MailChimp. If you decide that you don’t want to receive product updates anymore, you can opt out at any time.

Contact Forms

When using a form to contact me, I am sending the information provided by you (name, email address, message, …) through my server to my Google email account in order to get in touch with you. I do not use emails that were sent to me through contact forms for marketing purposes.

Email Marketing

When you sign up for a content upgrade (i.e. free mini course) or my newsletter, I will share your email address with the email marketing automation platform MailChimp. I am using this service to segment and send email campaigns. Once you start receiving the newsletter, MailChimp collects additional data about which emails you’ve opened and which of the included links you’ve clicked.

If you subscribed for a limited email sequence (i.e. free mini course) I will delete your email address within 180 days after you received the last email in the sequence. Alternatively, you can opt out of any email sequence at any time by clicking the unsubscribe link at the bottom of every campaign email.

Comments

To make commenting on my blog a breeze, I am using the Disqus platform. If you want to write a comment, you need to register with Disqus and agree to their terms of service.

Business Messenger

I believe that direct conversations are the best way to talk to people who are interested in my business. To make this process easy and fun, I am using Facebook’s Customer Chat Plugin on my website. When using the plugin, you are sending me a message from your personal Facebook account via Facebook’s platform.

Marketing Tracking and Analytics

I am using tracking and analytics tools to improve your browsing experience, analyse website traffic, and to understand where my audience is coming from. Additionally, I am also using tools to serve targeted ads to visitors of my website on platforms like Facebook. This means that when you are using my website, I am sending anonymised information about your visit to third parties. This information includes which pages you visited, the duration of your visit to my website, and part of your IP Address.
